· Put an ohmmeter on the sending unit(s). Unfortunately, I don't know the exact numbers for your sending unit but IN GENERAL, at room temp the ohms should be several hundred (or more) and in a pot of boiling water should be around 30-ish. If you know the manufacturer of your sending unit, an internet search should give you exact numbers.
Online consultationI just removed the electric cylinder from my skid loader that locks my system so I can release it manually. But then I don't know that there is a manual lever on your unit, mines an '86 vintage Toyota skidsteer that I built from 3 I had and rebuilt the 2J diesel engine. It works beautifully. I just love it. My only Case is a '72 Backhoe I rebuilt.
Online consultation· The fire was supposedly "started by a furnace in the garage". I will never know what happened but do know that the buyer was planning to use the garage for his woodworking hobby. I don't know if he failed to maintain the oil furnace properly or ended up with a hazard from some sort of woodworking product fumes.
Online consultationIt only opens up/leaks over rpm, and under load when running the boat at cruise speed or above. There is no leak in neutral at any rpm or temp, and no leak when running below rpm. Also, there is no water going into the oil, or oil going into the water from these leaks. Both engines run great, except for ….
Online consultation· 4 years ago over Iowa heading home to MN from Florida I froze the oil cooler on my J model. I did not put a strip of aluminum tape over the oil cooler as I normally would due to the warm departure temps. It was at -38f when the oil went from 164 to 210 then in 2 mins to 220. I got it stopped at 230 by going about 80 lop, and increasing rpms.

Online consultation· "That was the plan. I don't know — it was a good idea at the time," he laughs. "It was a 21-foot speed boat with a big-block in it. With the trailer it was 24-foot long. I got a towbar fitted. They didn't make them for the Mustang so I had to get a special one — it cost me a fortune.".
Online consultation· Precision, You probably know this already, but I'll mention it anyway. Don't forget to polish the hell out of it. You don't want to leave any toolmarks that will act as stress points. When I finish a flat mainspring, it looks like it's been chrome plated. Then, if I don't want the shine, I hit it with a little Oxpho-Blue cold blue.

· Don't worry about getting an expensive one; a cheap voltmeter will do for this purpose. If you have a multimeter, you can use that instead. A multimeter measures voltage as well as other electrical properties such as current and resistance. You want to measure voltage when you're checking your alternator.
Online consultation· The engine had already been re-built once. I don't know if the PTO clutch was replaced in that time. I'm a guy that reads manuals and follows directions pretty much because I'm not that mechanically inclined. I don't recall ever seeing anything in the 314 manual about engaging the PTO at idle speed and then cranking up the throttle.

Online consultation· I recently bought an 05 DS50 for the kids. I was going over it last night and got as far as the oil fill plug on the gear box. There's no dip stick and I don't have a manual, so if someone could let me know what to do with this HOLE I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Online consultation· Hi folks. As the title reads, I need to find out what type of gear oil needs to be used in a 4 speed toploader gearbox. The manual asks for a Mild E P Gear Oil, C3RZ-B, which doesn't really help much. I need 4pts, which I roughly calculated to about 2 litres. I had some 75w 85w but it.
Online consultation· Maybe. I'll tell you the symptoms below. But before you start replacing parts, keep in mind that the same engine performance problems that indicate a bad EGR valve can also indicate problems in other parts of the system. If you don't do your troubleshooting, you may end up replacing parts unnecessarily and wasting time and money.
Online consultationThe gearbox oil level should not drop noticeably between routine oil changes about every 30,000 miles (50,000 km). If you have to add a lot to correct the level, check carefully for leaks (See ). Stand the car on level ground before you check the gearbox oil level.
Online consultation· Your transmission takes 1-1/2 quarts of SAE 90-140 A.P.I. Service GL-5 gear lubricant. Looking from the back of the transmission, the drain is a small plug on the bottom, to the left of, and in front of the forward end of the draw bar hitch.

Online consultation· Andy, with the temps in your area, I'd go with a good quality 140 wt. hypoid gear oil. That's what we use in our haybine gear boxes. Just in case you hadn't thought of it, don't forget to locate the level plug for the gear box( usually about 1/2 way up the bottom shaft on that type gear box) and make sure the vent is clean and properly venting.
Online consultation· The gearbox is used in a steel melt shop and has a forced lubrication system with an operating temperature of 52 degrees C. The manufacturer's recommendation is a 680 viscosity grade (VG) mineral oil, but should we choose a VG polyalphaolefin (PAO) oil or a VG mineral oil with plastic deformation (PD) additives?".

Online consultation· I don't know Dave but if Toyo recommend it I think they have thought about the synchro rings. If you order oil for an 80 manual box that is the part number they supply. If you have a choice perhaps go for a thinner oil as this helps the synchro ring teeth bite into the cones and improves the gear ….
